Eldorado Canyon is one of my favorite places. This crisp Fall morning, I took my paints and traversed the rocks to the middle of South Boulder Creek. As I started to paint, the morning sun just started to peak through to the trees on top of the canyon.

At the top of Flagstaff road in Colorado there is a little park off to the right. If you travel all the way to the western-most point, you get a clear look of the Continental Divide. Today, the native purple Iris was in bloom.

Often when hiking on a dry hillside, you will come up over a ridge and be blessed with a view of a lake on the other side of the mountain. I'm captivated by these kinds of views.

In the Eldorado Canyon State Park, I found myself on the Fowler trail with my painting gear. The trees hadn't yet started to bud. This was the last snow on the mountain.
